Acquisition Status:  Easement donated to the Corps in 2004.

On-Site Management:  Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) administers and/or performs operation and maintenance activities on behalf of the Corps according to the terms of various agreements.

Description, Use and Regulations

Description:  The Weston Bend site is operated as part of the Weston Bend State Park.

  • In 2004, the Corps worked with Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) to construct two pilot channels in the existing river structures on the park property. These modifications increased habitat diversity benefiting Missouri River fish populations.

Status:  Open to the public.

Site Use:  The State Park itself open to a wide variety of outdoor recreation activities.

Site-use Regulations:  

  • People visiting these areas must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including hunting, fishing, etc.  In general Title 36 Part 327 of the Code of Federal Regulations governs the use of Corps property.  Other regulations may apply to properties owned by other federal agencies.
  • Special regulations and restrictions may be posted on site.

Special-use Regulations:  Hunting is prohibited.
