R613 Levee Restoration Information

Background: The R-613 Platte River Left Bank & Papillion Creek Right Bank & Missouri River Right Bank Levee Systems were damaged during the 2019 Flood Event, leading to the Levee Sponsor submitting a Public Law (PL) 84-99 Rehabilitation Assistance request to the US Army Corps of Engineers – Omaha District.

Current Action:  Design funding has been received to begin work on the levee repair project.  The purpose of this rehabilitation project is to repair the levee systems to the authorized level of flood risk management.

Next Steps:

  2. Advertise and award the levee repair construction contract.
  3. Repair the levee system to its authorized level of flood risk management.
