08 November 2019 - Repairs to the Waubonsie Avenue tie-in are complete with final inspection occurring on 06 November. Following these efforts, there is no additional USACE repair work on L-601 scheduled at this time; however, the levee sponsor is preparing to conduct follow-on repairs to the levee system.
24 October 2019 - The levee repair work is complete including final inspection that occurred on 03 October 2019. The team is working to finalize repairs to the Waubonsie Avenue tie-in that was affected by erosion during the levee repair project. Following these efforts, there is no additional USACE repair work on L-601 scheduled at this time; however, the levee sponsor is preparing to conduct follow-on repairs to the levee system.
13 October 2019 - The contractor is finalizing the repair efforts and is tentatively scheduled to demobilize from the site in mid-October. There is no additional USACE repair work on L-601 scheduled at this time; however the levee sponsor is preparing to conduct follow-on repairs on the L-601 system.
27 September 2019 – The contractor is finalizing the repair efforts and is tentatively scheduled to demobilize from the site in early October.
13 September 2019 – The estimated contract completion is on schedule and it is anticipated that the contractor will de-mobilize from the site in late-September.
06 September 2019 – The contractor is almost complete with the emergency breach repair efforts and the project is still on schedule to be complete by mid-September 2019.
29 August 2019 – The estimated contract completion and de-mobilization remains on track to finish mid-September 2019.
23 August 2019 – The repairs are substantially complete. Remaining work by the contractor includes rip rap placement, erosion control matting, and de-construction of the haul road. The estimated contract completion and de-mobilization is mid-September 2019.
13 Aug 2019 – Breach closure occurred on 3 July 2019, and work is approximately 90% complete. Remaining work by the contractor includes shaping and grading the sand berm and sand levee.
05 Aug 2019 –The Contractor is working to shape and grade the sand berm and sand levee. Work remaining includes rip rap placement, erosion control matting, and de-construction of the haul road. Estimated contract completion and de-mobilization is now early September 2019.
31 July 2019 – Breach closure occurred on 03 July 2019. The dredging of additional sand yardage has concluded due to the required quantity being in place within the alignment. The Contractor is working to shape and grade the sand berm in advance of construction of the sand levee on top. Estimated contract completion is mid-August.
22 July 2019 – Contractor has completed widening and raising of sand berm and is working to shape and grade it in advance of construction of the sand levee on top.
08 July 2019 – The initial breach closure was completed on 03 July 2019. Contractor continues to complete widening and raising the sand berm. The team has identified four (4) additional breaches for repair efforts.
11 June 2019 – Three 12" dredges are on site and actively dredging to repair the priority breach to the 25-yr water surface elevation.
