08 November 2019 – Work on the Broken Bow Levee repair contract is complete. The team is currently working on closing out the contract.
24 October 2019 – Work on the Broken Bow Levee repair contract is complete including final inspection that occurred on 17 October 2019. The team is currently working on closing out the contract.
18 October 2019 – All work on the Broken Bow Levee Repair contract was completed on Oct. 17. The final inspection is tentatively scheduled for the week of October 21st. Following this inspection the contractor will demobilize from the site.
13 October 2019 - Pre-construction team meeting was held on 08 October 2019, and contractor was issued a notice to proceed with repairs. The contractor began repair operations on 09 October 2019.
27 September 2019 – The levee repair contract was awarded to KEU Inc. of Stanley, ND in the amount of $165,000 on 26 September 2019 with a period of performance of 60 calendar days.
13 September 2019 – The bid opening occurred on 06 Sep 2019. It is anticipated that this project will be awarded within a few weeks, pending receipt of project funding from USACE HQ.
04 September 2019 – The team conducted the pre-bid site visit on 28 August 2019. The levee repair contract bid opening is scheduled for later today and the contract award is anticipated by the end of September.
29 August 2019 – Team continues engineering and design work on repairs for the Broken Bow levee system. Design is expected to be complete by late summer/early fall at which time a construction contract will be advertised and awarded to repair the system.
13 August 2019 – Engineering and Design (E&D) work continues for rehabilitating the Broken Bow levee system. The team is still anticipating to be done with the E&D process by late-summer or early-fall.

26 June 2019 – An initial site damage assessment and economic analysis has been completed. From this initial assessment the USACE team has determined that there are damages to the levee system that are eligible for PL 84-99 Rehabilitation Assistance. Once funding has been received, the USACE team will coordinate with the Levee Sponsor on the design of the overall levee repair project.
