The District Engineer, through the North Dakota Regulatory Office, is evaluating a site plan submitted by the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) for the Koenig Mitigation Bank Site (Site). The site is being proposed as an addendum to NDDOTs Umbrella Mitigation Bank Program that was established in 2013 to provide compensatory mitigation for projects requiring authorization under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. The site is 280.6 acres and is situated on an active farm eight miles NE of Woodworth in the W ½ of Section 28, Township 143 North, Range 67 West, Stutsman County, North Dakota. NDDOT estimates the site would generate 32.32 credits that would be achieved through a combination of restoration, preservation, buffers and uplands. The Regional Service Area serviced by this site would be the Missouri River Basin Southern Zone.
