    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District (Corps), is evaluating a permit application submitted by Mike Maki of 3M Center to construct a new chiller plant, warehouse and loading dock by placing 18,714 cubic yards of engineered fill material in a 0.86-acre area of an abutting wetland of an unnamed tributary to the Big Sioux River. This notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed activity and to solicit comments.

    The District Engineer is evaluating a permit application from the Maple River Water Resource District for a flood risk reduction project in Davenport, North Dakota. The project consists of earthen ring levee around the city and a retention pond. Construction of the project would result in approximately 1.046 acre of permanent impacts to jurisdictional wetlands. Work would occur in Section 1 and 2, Township 137 North, Range 51 West and Sections 35 and 36, Township 138 North, Range 51 West centered on Latitude 46.714544 degrees North, Longitude -97.068995 degrees West, all in Davenport, Cass County, North Dakota.

    General Permit 96-08 will expire on April 30, 2023. The District Commander, Omaha District proposes to re-issue this Regional General Permit for a period of five (5) years. The General Permit will continue to authorize work in waters of the United States (including rivers, lakes, streams and wetland areas) associated with flood protection, reconstruction and repair activities in South Dakota, excluding segments of the Missouri River National Recreation River from river mile 753.60 (Ponca State Park, Nebraska) to mile 811.05 (Gavins Point Dam) and from mile 841.00 (near Running Water, South Dakota) to mile 880.00 (Fort Randall Dam). This General Permit will authorize, but is not limited to, the following types of activities: repair and reconstruction of existing roads, temporary levee construction, levee repair, breach closures, bridge embankment repair, protection and/or repair of utility structures, placement of suitable rock and/or earth fill for bank protection, and restoration of river channels to the alignment which existed immediately prior to flooding.

    The District Engineer is evaluating a proposal by the City of Bismarck, North Dakota to construct the Boulder Ridge Stormwater Project. The project would impact 1 acre of wetland/tributary to Hay Creek by installing stormwater pipe, constructing a detention pond, cleaning out and widening the existing channel and installing 200 feet of perforated pipe under the channel to remove groundwater. Work would occur in Section 16, Township 139 North, Range 80 West at Latitude: 46.856174 degrees North, Longitude -100.786378 degrees West in Bismarck, Burleigh County, North Dakota.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, (USACE) is evaluating a permit application to allow maintenance dredging of the Bitterroot River to ensure water delivery to the Supply-Wood Parkhurst irrigation ditch (Supply Ditch), which would result in temporary but recurring impacts to a maximum of 1.43 acre (0.89 acre of channel excavation and 0.54 acre for dredged material placement) of the Bitterroot River, a water of the United States. The applicant is requesting a 10-year permit for work to occur up to two times per year. This notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed activity and to solicit comments.
