The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District (Corps), is evaluating a permit application submitted by the City of Sioux Falls, South Dakota to expand the Sioux Falls Landfill which would impact wetlands and a section of the Wall Lake Drainage Way. The applicant is proposing to permanently discharge fill material into 5.7 acres of wetlands to allow for future expansion areas within the current Sioux Falls Landfill boundaries. The project would also include the relocation of approximately 1,780 feet of the Wall Lake Drainage Way along the southwest corner of the Landfill property.
