RGP 96 - NATURAL DISASTER MITIGATION & FLOOD-RELATED ACTIVITES IN COLORADO
Interested parties are hereby notified that District Engineers for the Albuquerque and Omaha Districts of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) have jointly reissued Regional General Permit (RGP) 96. The expiration date of RGP 96 has been extended to September 30, 2021. RGP 96 authorizes certain natural disaster mitigation and flood-related activities in waters of the United States within the State of Colorado.
The reissuance of this RGP is being processed under the provisions of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. 1344), whereby District Engineers are authorized to issue regional general permits for categories of activities involving discharges of dredged or fill material that are similar in nature and will cause only minimal individual adverse and cumulative adverse effects on the environment. The Record of Decision for this reissuance is available at the Denver Regulatory Office in which the Corps determined that the proposed activities comply with the requirements for issuance of general permits.
