The District Engineer is evaluating a permit application from Mountrail County Road & Bridge for reconstruction of 96th Avenue NW. Mountrail County proposes to reconstruct 4.06 miles of 96th Avenue NW. Work would include widening, vertical curve lowering, grading, drainage improvement, cement stabilized subgrade, aggregate surfacing and culvert replacement. Finished driving surface would be 26 feet. Approximately 3,400 cubic yards of material would be required for the project. The subgrade would be stabilized with cement. Existing culverts would be replaced with longer structures and would be appropriately sized to comply with State drainage law. The finished roadway would be paved. Construction of this project would result in permanent impacts to 1.62 acres of waters of the United States. The approximately 4.2 mile reconstruction project centers on Latitude: 48.184723° North, Longitude: -102.69880° West and would impact tributaries and adjacent wetlands in Mountrail County, North Dakota.
