Nebraska Department of Transportation - The NDOT proposes to construct a new 3.2-mile-long four-lane roadway (“Fremont Southeast Beltway”) designed to expressway standards along the southern perimeter of the City of Fremont, starting just north of the United States Highway 77 (US-77) Platte River bridge at mile marker (MM) 112+05, and extending north to MM 112+48, where it turns east on new alignment for 3.2 miles until reaching US-275 at MM 155+80. The project will cross South Main Street, Hills Farm Road (River Road), South Platte Avenue, Yager Road, 23 Boulevard (Downing Street), Old U.S. Highway 275, and two rail lines before connecting to US-275. Three new bridges will be constructed to span the railroad / South Platte Avenue, railroad / Old US-275 and at the proposed interchange of US-77 and US-275. Roundabouts will be included at multiple intersection locations. Full grading will be required along the entire project length. Areas disturbed during construction will be stabilized utilizing methods of erosion control per the NDOT’s Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
