Opportunity to Enter into a Challenge Cost-Sharing Cooperative Management Agreement

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Omaha District, is seeking proposals from Non-Federal Public Entities and Non-Proﬁt Entities interested in entering into a Challenge Cost-Sharing Cooperative Management Agreement (CCSCMA) for the purpose of collaboratively managing designated recreation areas within Omaha District. CCSCMAs may be established for an initial term of up to ten (10) years, with an additional ﬁve (5) option-years available without further competition.

Fort Peck Interpretive Center celebrates 20 years

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is celebrating 20 years since opening the Fort Peck Dam Interpretive Center and Museum in Fort Peck, Montana on Saturday, June 21, 2025. In addition, the Montana Dinosaur Trail also turns 20 this year. The Interpretive Center will be open June 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Oahe Project Resumes Powerhouse Tours; Visitor Center Summer Hours Set

The Oahe Project is once again offering tours of the Oahe Powerhouse. Public walk-in tours will be available Tuesday through Saturday beginning May 28 or June 4 and ending on September 6. Tours will start at the Oahe Visitor Center on top of the east end of the dam along Highway 1804.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) announced today that it has begun the orderly shutdown of all USACE-managed campgrounds to protect against the further spread of coronavirus disease 2019. Visitor centers, beaches, special events, and USACE-sponsored events such as shore sweeps, interpretive programs, Kids to Parks Day, Earth Day events, public meetings and other public gatherings at all USACE-managed sites and facilities have also been closed and/or put on hold until further notice.

Prize competition seeks ideas to better estimate the water storage capacity of reservoirs

The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking problem solvers to develop new or improved analytical methods for estimating the water storage capacity and/or sedimentation volume of reservoirs managed by Reclamation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The best solution that meets the technical requirements for this prize competition will receive $50,000. Up to an additional $25,000 may be awarded for meeting additional, but not essential, criteria. Solutions from this prize competition may lead to more effective, affordable and reliable methods to monitor and assess reservoir storage loss due to sedimentation
