The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Omaha District, is seeking proposals from Non-Federal Public Entities and Non-Proﬁt Entities interested in entering into a Challenge Cost-Sharing Cooperative Management Agreement (CCSCMA) for the purpose of collaboratively managing designated recreation areas within Omaha District. CCSCMAs may be established for an initial term of up to ten (10) years, with an additional ﬁve (5) option-years available without further competition.

Recreational areas at Lake Oahe Project to reopen Aug. 14

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District’s Lake Oahe Project will reopen Beaver Creek and Hazelton recreational areas, located in North Dakota, from Aug. 14. to Sept. 30, 2025. The Cattail Bay primitive camping area also will also reopen beginning Aug. 14.

Government Bay Road, Boat Ramp to temporarily close

The Government Bay Road and Boat Ramp in Riverdale, North Dakota will be temporarily closed on June 30 - July 1, 2025, for boat ramp sediment removal scheduled by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District. The road will be closed from just north of the fish cleaning station to the boat ramp during this time.

Fort Peck Interpretive Center celebrates 20 years

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is celebrating 20 years since opening the Fort Peck Dam Interpretive Center and Museum in Fort Peck, Montana on Saturday, June 21, 2025. In addition, the Montana Dinosaur Trail also turns 20 this year. The Interpretive Center will be open June 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers waives day use fees at recreation areas in observance of Army Corps of Engineers’ birthday and Juneteenth celebration

Cherry Creek Dam and flood safety event to boost community awareness
