TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: The Omaha District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) has received an application for a Department of the Army permit pursuant to Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 U.S.C. §1344) and/or Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S.C. §403), and has received a request for permission to alter a Corps Civil Works Project under Section 14 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 U.S.C. §408). The purpose of this joint public notice is to solicit comments from the public regarding the work described below. The notice is being issued in cooperation with the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), who is providing partial funding through their Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) grant program, pursuant to Executive Orders 11988 (Floodplain Management) and 11990 (Protection of Wetlands).
