      <description>Crews are deploying a multiple electrode resistivity unit – MER, for short – to create a map of changes in the soil beneath as part of the geotechnical investigations process developed for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to improve knowledge of the conditions for levee foundations as well as the construction of the levees themselves.
