Omaha District Lakes and Dams
Water Safety
Making sure
that our visitors are safe when they are around water is of great
concern of the US Army Corps of Engineers. As the leading provider
of water-based recreation in the Nation, the Corps isactively
involved in providing information to its visitors on how to be
safe when visiting our projects.
The Omaha
District Corps of Engineers manages over 1,800 miles of the Missouri
River from Rulo, NE to Three Forks, MT. Working in cooperation
with numerous local, state, tribal, and other federal agencies,
we want you to have a safe journey while travelling the river
or visiting one of the wonderful lakes formed by the Corps dams
on the river.
Before you
go on the water, make sure you have everything you need to get you
where you want to go safely. Please go to these websites for more
