    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District (Corps), is evaluating a permit application submitted by Eastside Acres, LLC to construct a new residential subdivision, the Sanctuary Addition, that would impact wetlands. This notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed activity and to solicit comments. The applicant is proposing to permanently discharge fill material into 1.48-acres of wetlands in order to construct the Sanctuary Addition. The project includes construction of a single-family residential subdivision, including grading and shaping, public and private utility installation, construction of concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalks and driveways, asphalt pavement, residential housing and installation of temporary and permanent erosion control measure and best management practices. Based on the available information, the overall project purpose is to provide residential housing for the City of Sioux Falls and the Sioux Falls Metro Area. The applicant’s project purpose, as stated in the application, is to provide a new 198-acre residential subdivision in eastern Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District (Corps), is evaluating a permit application submitted by South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) to construct Phase-II of the South Veterans Parkway (SVP) including improvements to two intersecting City Arterials. The project is located between Interstate-29 and Western Avenue (PCN 01V9) and includes work at Tallgrass Avenue (PCN 08DA) and Louise Avenue (PCN 08DC). The proposed work would result in the permanent discharge of approximately 80,127 cubic yards of fill material into 24.88 acres of waters of the United States, including tributaries forming the headwaters of Nine-Mile Creek and adjacent wetlands. The project site is located at Latitude 43.471547°, Longitude -96.727939°; Sections 19/20/21/29/30, Township 100 North, Range 50 West, Lincoln County, South Dakota.
