NWO-2016-1344-PIE - 9/17/2018: Stonearch, LLC requests authorization to construct the 4th phase of the Canterbury Heights residential development northeast of the intersection of North Dubuque Avenue and East Madison Street in eastern Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The project will include the construction of new roads and the extension of existing roads, the construction of approximately 47 lots, and the installation of sewer main. The project will impact 1.54 acres of wetlands. The proposed project alternative was selected to avoid wetlands to the greatest extent possible. Compensatory mitigation for the 1.54 acres of permanent wetland impacts will be provided by the purchase of credits from the Ducks Unlimited In-Lieu Fee Program.

NWO-2018-00237-WEH - 9/14/2018: Lyman Richey Corporation proposes to expand and continue to mine sand and gravel at Plant 51. The project would occur within three phases and would impact a total of 10.84 acres of wetlands over fifteen years. Below are the impacts by phase: Phase 1—Years one to five—A total of 6.49 acres of PEMA/C riverine floodplain wetlands will be impacted by Phase 1. Phase 2—Years six to ten—A total of 3.07 acres of PEMA/C riverine floodplain wetlands will be impacted by Phase 2. Phase 3—Years eleven to fifteen—A total of 1.28 acres of PEMA/C riverine floodplain wetland will be impacted by Phase 3. If a permit decision is made to authorize, the permit would be evaluated every 5 years in order to address any changes to the project, which may include but is not limited to, impacts, mitigation, endangered species, or jurisdiction.

NWO-2005-11414-WEH - 9/11/2018: Krueger Development - The proposed project includes final development phase of the Woodlands at Yankee Hill. The specific activities include single family and multi-family residential development buildings, commercial units, streets, and arterial roads to connect development. The development impacts include road crossings and fill for residential lot development. This final phase of the development will impact a total of 0.49 acre of waters of the United States. That consists of 0.335 acre of PEMA/C riverine channel, 0.077 acre of PEMC lacustrine fringe, and 0.78 acre of open water. The proposed project was previous permitted in August 31, 2006, as an individual permit with 2.28 acres of wetlands impacted and required 4.56 acres of compensatory wetland mitigation. That permit expired on August 31, 2009. The impacts for the final phase of development have been reduced from what was originally permitted in the August 31, 2006, authorization from 2.28 acres of impacts to waters of the United States to 0.49 acre of waters of the United States.

NWO-2009-1745-PIE - 9/11/2018: The City of Sioux Falls requests Department of the Army authorization to install stream bank stabilization at ten locations in the Big Sioux River upstream of the City of Sioux Falls. If permitted, this action would represent the third phase of an ongoing proposal by the Applicant to stabilize eroding stream banks along a reach of the Big Sioux River which begins near the City of Baltic and runs downstream to the East 60th Street crossing near the City of Sioux Falls (Project Area). The reach of the Big Sioux River in the Project Area is approximately 105,202 linear feet in length. The Applicant has received previous authorization by the Corps to stabilize 23,690 linear feet of stream bank at 33 individual locations within the Project Area.

NWO-2011-01760-MTM - 9/7/2018: The purpose of the proposed wetland mitigation project is to offset permitted impacts to riparian wetlands along the mainstem and Middle Fork of the Flathead River by providing provide 4.26 functional units of ecological lift and 0.575 acre of wetland credit. The proposed riparian habitat enhancement project will replace lost riparian wetland functions and services that occurred as a result of Department of the Army (DA) permits issued in 2017 and 2018.
