NWO-2016-2398-PIE - 9/20/2017: The City of Hartford requests authorization to construct a road improvement project along an approximately 0.9-mile-long section of Mickelson Road between Patrick Avenue and South Dakota Highway 38. The project consists of grading for roadway embankment, installation of box culverts with riprap at the upstream and downstream ends, and construction of a new roadway. The project will temporarily impact 0.46 acres of wetland and will permanently impact 2.30 acres of wetland and approximately 475 feet of an unnamed tributary. The project is located in Sections 23 and 26, Township 102 North, Range 51 West, Minnehaha County, South Dakota. The purpose of the proposed project is to improve travel safety concerns by replacing the existing gravel road, improving the safe vehicle capacity, and moving the intersection of Mickelson Road and Highway 38 to the east to allow for a more perpendicular alignment.

NWO-2017-01366-DEN - 9/19/2017: The District Engineer, U.S. Army Engineer District, Omaha, Nebraska is evaluating a Department of the Army permit application from Ms. Barbara Horton, Town of Castle Rock, 175 Kellogg Court, Castle Rock, CO 80109.

NWO-2017-01638-DEN - 9/12/2017: The primary goal of the project is to develop a joint species conservation and stream and wetland mitigation Bank in the Cache La Poudre watershed (HUC 8) in association with the granting of Department of Army (USACE) permits through restoration, enhancement, and preservation of wetlands, stream channels, and associated buffers along North Fork Rabbit Creek. Improving stream and wetland functions are also key objectives that will enhance and protect water quality. Additional Bank objectives are to preserve and protect this valuable Preble’s habitat from commercial development and to utilize the Bank site to provide highly desirable connectivity between the large, adjacent, high quality habitat corridors.

NWO-2013-00133-MTM - 8/30/2017: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, (Corps) is evaluating a permit application for the North of Kiowa North highway reconstruction project. This is Phase 4 of a 5 phase project involving the reconstruction of approximately 25.5 miles of US Highway 89 east of Glacier National Park. The project is covered under the Browning to Hudson Bay Divide EIS STPP-FLA 58-1(40)15. This phase of the project involves the reconstruction of approximately 5.8 miles of US highway 89 (6.4 miles on current alignment) from approximately Reference Post (RP) 14.4 to approximately RP 20, increasing the road width to 36 feet. The improved roadway would include two 12-foot travel lanes, with 6-foot wide shoulders on each side. The proposed project would result in permanent impacts to 1.63 acres of wetlands and 1,092 linear feet (0.097 acre) of stream. Stream impacts include the removal of existing culverts and construction of new culverts. This notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed activity and to solicit comments.

NWO-2017-00723-WEH - 8/25/2017: Herbert Development East - Herbert Development East is planning to construct a 62-acre residential development in Lancaster County, Nebraska. Construction activities include grading for approximately 9,500 feet of roads, 150 single-family building sites, and a 1.1-acre storm water detention pond. Infrastructure development includes sanitary sewer lines, water mains, storm sewers, concrete street pavement, gas lines, and underground electric and data lines. The underground utilities will be installed in open cut trenches using backhoes, trenchers, and loaders. The proposed project would fill 256 linear feet of R6SB un-named tributary (ephemeral) to Stephens Creek, 1.127 acres of PEMA/C riverine floodplain wetlands, and 0.174 acre of PFOA riverine floodplain wetlands.
