    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, (USACE) is evaluating a permit application for the maintenance of the Point Service Corporation HOA’s harbor entrance on Flathead Lake. The project proposes to permanently impact a total of approximately 0.069 acre below the ordinary highwater mark for annual maintenance of an existing harbor and harbor spit by redistributing 60 cubic yards of accumulated sediment from the harbor entrance and dock area and placing it along 120 linear feet of lakeshore along the harbor spit. The applicant is requesting a 10-year duration for the permitted activity. This notice is to inform interested parties of the proposed activity and to solicit comments.

The project proposes to permanently impact 355 linear feet (LF) of the riverbank and 0.02 acre below the ordinary highwater mark (OHWM) for construction of a new seawall, permanently impact 61 LF of riverbank and 0.085 acre below the OHWM for construction of a new 4-lane boat ramp, and permanently impact 0.86 acre of wetlands for construction of an associated parking area.

  • Colorado Mitigation Procedures (COMP) v2

    Interested parties are hereby notified that the District Engineers for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), Albuquerque, Omaha, and Sacramento Districts, have approved the statewide use of the Colorado Mitigation Procedures (COMP) v2 within the State of Colorado. The COMP outlines the steps the Corps Districts in Colorado will take regarding compensatory mitigation evaluations and provides statewide predictability and consistency in the Corps’ compensatory mitigation determinations. Specifically, the COMP standardizes the Corps’ compensatory mitigation procedures for quantifying wetland and stream losses (debits) and compensatory mitigation (credits).
