Birds occupy at a backwater wetland area that was recently constructed as part of the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe natural resources preservation and ecosystem restoration project. The Tribal Partnership Program construction project was recently completed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and this first to be completed in the Nation. Clear Creek levee repair, Feb. 29, 2020
As of February 29, 2020, the entire Clear Creek levee system has been returned to full height. Continued repair activities will focus on restoring the levee system to its pre-flood condition.
